Player Profiles
DAVID ARMSTRONG. A strong and agile goalkeeper, David has represented GB at Junior level. With accurate long passing and a great shot stopper, David has proved himself to be the number 1 goalkeeper in Scotland over the past few seasons. Excellent reflexes.
KERR YOUNG. Kerr doubles as our goalkeeper in Davids absence. A tall and strong right handed player with a powerfull outside shot. Kerr has been an important member of the Warrender team for the past 6 seasons.
DAVE GAULDIE. Canadian Dave came to Warrender in 2003. Brother of ex player Stephen Gauldie, Dave's experience and brute force as a centre forward provides the team with goals and hard work. Dave has played and fought against some of the toughest opponents in the sport. Dave is also Head Coach for the Senior Team.
GREIG YOUNG. Has been a member of the team for the past 8 seasons, Greig is a first team regular weighing in with goals and a strong pyhsical presence. Greig has sharpened up his game alot over the past few years and is regualry on the scoresheet. Current Warrender Player of The Year.
CALLUM MACGREGOR. Team Captain. Callum has represented Scotland at all levels in competition across Europe. Teams top goal scorer for the past 5 seasons and is also used as an effective centre forward.
DEREK DOCHERTY. The team "old boy". Dereks experience within the game is second to none. Derek has represented Scotland at all levels throughout his career and was recently voted Scottish Player of the year.
DUNCAN MACGREGOR. An ex Scotland squad member, Duncan is a regular within the team. An excellent all round player.
NEAL RAYNAR. Pit defender with vast experience. Neal is an All-American having played for UCLA in the States. Neals experience is vital to the team. Neal has also swam the English Channel.
JONNY HEPBURN. Jonny has played with the team for about 10 seasons. A good defensive player, Jonny is a regular within the team.
IVAN RYBTSOV. Russian Ivan has only started playing Water Polo but has picked the basics up off the game very quickly. We expect Ivan to be making an impression on the team and the game within the next few years. Current Junior "Players" Player of ther Year.
MALCOLM KERR. Part of the Scotland set up since Junior level, Malcolm comes back to the team after a successfull spell as an International swimmer. Quick in the pool and usually major king in every game he plays.
DUNCAN WOOD. Duncans strength in the pool is a valuable asset and is used in the "super sub" role.
JOEL HALE. An excellent addition to the team, Joel is a strong centre forward who also offers a goal scoring threat from the outside. Having played for England Countys and within the competative London League, Joel brings a wealth of experience.
MARTYN BRYCE. Martyn was part of the successfull Junior team who went on to win all major honours within the game. Martyn is a player who reads the game well and is a proven goalscorer.
EUAN MARTIN. ex Edinburgh University Captain with an excellent understanding of the game. Euan is a solid pair of hands both in attack and defense. Euan doubles as the Social Convenor after proving himself within the Edinburgh Pub circuit.
ASTOR VIDAL. Astor is another player who has come through the ranks from the Junior team. A very technical player and one of the fittest members of the team. Astor will cement his place in the full 13 in the coming season or Two.
